NAYBC Bowlplex Doubles 2015
 
The Bowlplex Doubles took place across the weekends of  19/20 and 26/27 September 2015 at Bowlplex Poole.  The event comprised 8 games of doubles, in 4 divisions by average, across the BTBA, JTE and YTE Tours.  Total scratch pinfall would determine the winners, with Curtis Hooper and James McMinn winning Division 1, Amy Sedgwick and Elyse Giddens Division 2, Chris Kemp and Louie Woodyatt Division 3 and George Collingwood and David Pearson Division 4.  Please click HERE for the full results in wide-screen format.
 

2015 BTBA Tour Finals / NAYBC UK Championships

The 2014/15 UK Championships and BTBA Tour Finals will be held on Sunday 6th December at MFA Nottingham.  This will be the last UK Championships for the JTE over age bowlers now that the Youth Team England Tour is becoming established which all bowlers in this age category will now be encouraged to join.  The BTBA Tour Finals will continue each year as usual.

The event details will be as follows:

BTBA Tour Finals:

All bowlers will bowl 6 games at trios pace. Top 3 bowlers in their age category will progress to a stepladder final where the winners will be crowned BTBA Tour Champions for 2014/15. Top 3 bowlers will receive awards in all age groups.

UK Championships:

All bowler will bowl 8 games at doubles pace. Top 3 bowlers will progress to a stepladder final where the winners will be crowned UK Champions for 2014/15 and both male and female winners will receive tournament entry fee vouchers to be used throughout 2016.

Closing date to respond is Saturday 31st October. Places will be offered to bowlers who have participated in enough events after this date if you do not respond.  There will be no entry fee as this event is funded by the NAYBC.

Junior Team England European Youth Championships Squads Announced

Junior Team England Manager Neville Nock and the Junior Team England Selector's are pleased to announce the squads for the European Youth Championships.  Teams of 4 boys and 4 girls will be selected from these squads in the coming months to represent Junior Team England in Reykjavik,Iceland in March 2016.

Worcester's Mia Bewley wins Junior Sports Person of 2015
 
Worcester, England: U16 Junior bowler Mia Bewley was presented with the Junior Sports Person Award for 2015 in a reception held on 17th September.
 
The Worcester City Sports Awards were hosted by Steve Cram, and Mia was honoured for her achievements in Junior Bowling over the last 2 years, including bowling in the World's Sports Festival in Vienna, and in both the 2014 and 2015 Junior Triple Crown of Bowling, winning 3 gold medals in doubles, trios, and team events, and 2 silver medals in the all events and singles, and in 2015 4 golds in doubles, trios, team, masters and silver in all events.  The award Ceremony was Sponsored by local businesses to celebrate sport in Worcester, there were a total of 16 awards over different sports and age groups.

2015 NAYBC Masters Crowned 

 Jamie Elliott and Katie Tagg win Boys and Girls Divisions

Chesire's Jamie Elliott and Lincolnshire's Katie Tagg were crowned the 2015 National Association of Youth Bowling Clubs Masters Cahmpions after a 20-game matchplay-style event that saw points awarded relative to the socres bowled per game.

Eve Giddens Shares Triple Crown Success in Local Newspaper

The NAYBC applauds Eve Giddens on sharing her Triple Crown medals success with ther local newspaper, The Northants Telegraph, raising the profile of the sport of bowling in her local area.  Congratulations on a great Triple Crown too, Eve.
