No. Bowlers must be under 19 in the year of the Tournament (i.e. not had their 19th birthday befoer the 31st August) in order to be eligible for an ETBF Championship such as the European Youth Championship. As the Tournament will always be in the year after the qualifying season, the bowler must be under 18 in that year. So to qualify for an EYC in 2010, the bowler must not be 19 before the 31st August 2010 (and therefore not 18 before the 31st August 2009).

JTE has the same  eligibility rules for Triple Crown as for the EYC in the following year. This is because the Triple Crown is used to give experience to players who are still able to play the EYC the following year.
