Achieves Clubmark Status

Bromborough YBC have become the 5th NAYBC Youth Bowling Club to gain the prestigious Sport England Clubmark national standard.

We are proud to announce that following our panel inspection on Saturday 23rd October by Merseyside County Sports Partnership we received the news we had met the prestigious Sport England Clubmark standard. During the Inspection, we were required to demonstrate we had in place procedures and policies for our YBC members safety, as well as tructured training by coaches holding up to date Insurance, CRBs

On behalf of Bromborough YBC, we would like to thank Melinda James, Club Development Officer for our local County Sports Partnership whose help was invaluable. Melinda always made herself available to us when we needed encouragement or guidance to complete some of the more difficult tasks expected of us for our Clubmark file. In addition, we have been fortunate in our County Association to have Crewe and Stoke YBC who gained their Clubmark award earlier this year. Neil and Julie Coe from Crewe & Stoke YBC teamed up with us and as members of the NAYBC Clubmark committee acted as our mentors, providing us with examples of their experience and good practice adopted by their YBC.

Neil Coe, NAYBC Clubmark Steering Committee member for the North East said "Bromborough YBC is a well established and very successful sports club. Peter embraced the Clubmark ethos and worked hard with his partners to take the YBC through the process. He and the YBC fully deserve the reward of accreditation".

We have started arranging our presentation ceremony and celebrations which we hope to be in the second half of November.

Peter Duncan
Secretary Bromborough YBC
