Doubles Bronze for Emily Allen & Keira Reay

With the 2016 Youth Championships at an end, Team England, The NAYBC and the BTBA congratulate Emily Allen and Keira Reay on Doubles Bronze, and the entire England squad on a very successful event.  Thanks are also extended to Manager Terry Searle and Coach Andy Penny.
 
In the singles, Emily would finish 18th with 1210 (201.67 avg), Keira 20th (1201, 200.17), Sophie 43rd (1114, 185.67) and Katie 71st (1035, 172.50).  For the men, George finished 26th (1251, 208.50), Curtis 27th (1249, 208.17), Brandon 33rd (1232, 205.33) and Jamie 81st (1147, 191.17).
 
A partnership total of 2449 (204.08) placed Emily and Keira in the fourth qualifying place for the finals.  Katie and Sophie finished in 9th (2363, 196.92).  In the semi-finals, Emily and Keira would be defeated by Korean's Lee and Pak, for Bronze.  Jamie and George finished doubles in 30th (2353, 196.08), whilst Curtis and Brandon finished in 39th (2305, 192.08).
 
The ladies finished 10th (4597, 191.54) in the team of four, and the men finished 14th (4761, 198.38).
 
Combining scores placed Keira 14th, Sophie 31st, Emily 33rd and Katie 45th in the All Events for the ladies, and George 47th, Curtis 48th, Brandon 53rd and Jamie 81st for the men.  Keira would be defeated by Singapore's Chua in Masters step 1 to bring to an end England's 2016 World Bowling World Youth Championships.
